DJI Mavic 3 Classic – Explore Vivid
Professional quality aerial imaging and video is now more affordable with the DJI Mavic 3 Classic with DJI RC Remote. Nearly identical to the standard Mavic 3, the Classic version focuses on the advanced 20MP 4/3″ CMOS sensor designed by legendary camera maker Hasselblad. Designed specifically for the Mavic 3 and meeting Hasselblad’s rigorous hardware and software standards, the 3-axis gimbal camera is capable of 4K video at 60 fps, a maximum of 5.1K at 50 fps, and 4K slow-motion footage at 120 fps.
Nearly any filming scenario can be tackled by the Mavic 3 Classic, as the 12.8 stops of dynamic range and f/2.8 to f/11 adjustable aperture let pilots account for nearly any lighting condition. To complete the Mavic 3 Classic’s powerful imaging abilities, 10-bit D-Log Colour Profile and Hasselblad’s NCS (Natural Colour Solution) are employed for natural and accurate color reproduction. To make those brilliant videos shine, DJI also offers advanced tracking, pro-style automated manoeuvres, and the ability to precisely hover for time-lapse and long-exposure shots.
Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution
The result of Hasselblad’s many decades of experience, the HNCS starts from the pixel level of the sensor. Every pixel is calibrated with RGB color data being passed through an image processing algorithm and color processing mode while filming. The result is content containing precise and natural colour reproduction, all without the need for color presets.
Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing
APAS 5.0 is utilised for all-direction sensing, giving the Mavic 3 the ability to smoothly avoid objects in flight.
O3+ Transmission
Continuously view a live feed from the Mavic 3 Classic, even from distances up to 9.32 miles away. That footage is sent back to you at 1080p60 Full HD quality, letting you better understand the scene and view most of the clarity that the drone’s Hasselblad camera is capturing.
Advanced RTH
After raising the Mavic 3 Classic to your desired altitude, the drone’s advanced RTH system will automatically plot the optimal route back home.
Precise Hovering
With decimeter-level precision when hovering, you can take clear hovering time-lapse and long-exposure shots.
Cruise Control
Set the Mavic 3 Classic to fly in a singular direction without having to continuously press the flight stick in that direction. This helps with less shaky video footage and more relaxing long-distance flying.
Tracking and Shooting Modes
  • ActiveTrack 5.0: Track your subject from different directions
  • MasterShots: Deliver a cinematic feel with automated shooting and editing

    This drone is superb

Love this drone but I would struggle to say that this is a beginners drone. Huge amount of fun. Amazing video and photos. The introduction videos that DJI guide you towards are good, but, really fail to do anything other than introduce you to the drone. In depth help is not really available through their help systems, can be found by those that have published either Youtube videos or forum answers, which helps, but DJI should be the providers of in depth answers in particular, for the Fly app.Do I regret owning it? No, this drone is amazing and is persuading me that I maybe need to move up…..

    Wow

I have been meaning to upgrade my drone for a while, and decided to take the plunge and get the Mavic 3. What held me back was the initial problems it has with GPS and a few other things. There have been 3 updates recently which have solved all of the problems, and now I am over the moon with it

Great drone but hate to burst people bubble

This is an amazing drone like many people say it is, yes it has its down side but with firmware updates these should be fixed. A word of caution though unless you hold your flyers ID and the CAA A2CofC this drone basically CANNOT be flown within 150m of any areas used for residential, recreational, industrial and commercial purposes and 50m away from uninvolved people which basically means you need to find a massive open area clear of people and not close to any buildings. if you have your A2 CofC there are still restrictions just not as strict. this could all of course change on 1st Jan 2023 when the transition period finishes (apparently). If your having a bit of fun and dont want to go through the process of doing the A2CofC stick with a drone under 250g. More or less no restrictions apart from max flight altitude, flying over assemblies of people and obtaining an UAS operators ID. I hope this helps

    Absolutely great for beginners

It is quite expensive but worth every penny.I can’t fault it.The only thing I would change is the controller, so instead of using your phone you have built in display, also quite expensive but I am considering buying it now I know the drone is so good.

    Best Drone out there

This has to be by far the best quality drone that I have ever used in terms of picture quality, build quality, easy of flying and stability. The pictures and videos that you get from this are cinematic. The inbuilt storage is large enough to take high res video for a decent time. Also the battery last way lo get than I expected it to especially with high intensity flying and recording. The best part I would say is how easy it is to fly even for beginners. Its following feature is amazing. I took it out this weekend for mountain biking and it was able to follow me near perfectly even through trees. Its object avoidance is also second to none. The only negative is how expensive it is but tbh it is kind of worth it for what you see getting and DJI has many more affordable drones with slightly less features.
