one of the best choices for mic arm

Mic arm is amazing never had a problem with it.Arm itself is pretty strong even after using it for a while now there is no problems with it.easy to set up and holds mic in position without problems.one of the better choices if you’re in a market for mic arms.

Holds more weight then it claims.

I took a gamble on this arm and I am not disappointed. In the product specs, there are claims it holds up to 2.5 lbs or something close. However, I have a Sterling ST155. With the required shock mount, the entire mic is nearly 5 lbs. I was obviously concerned this arm would not work for me, but *most* arms have the same or similar specs. I took the chance and it holds perfectly. Even at the maximum extension, it *still* holds the weight of my mic – no sagging. The cable covers have quite deep trenches in them so they fit my quite thick XLR cable nicely. The rest of the mechanism makes no sound which is amazing and stays right where I need it perfectly, without being hard to move at all.Cons – There aren’t many. The thumbscrew to hold the pivot (where the mic actually mounts) is not quite tight enough for my liking. I move my mic around a decent amount between when I’m using it or not, and after a short time I have to readjust the pivot point there and tighten the screw again. It’s not that much of a bother, but definitely noteworthy. This piece is also plastic, although quite thick, so I’m not certain on durability.

Excellent with a Senheisser MK8 (Heavy Microphone).

Really good support for a heavy microphone and heavy shock mount.Looks great as well with the solid metal construction (not keen on the 2 bar look that others have).A well made and professional microphone arm with good reach and stretch over the top of a monitor with the included extension arm.

Excellent product! Well-made and works great!

I purchased this arm for use with my streamcam. I needed an arm that would make it possible for a camera to point straight down over my desk for art live streams. This arm is extremely well-built, spring-loaded and weighted, it is easy to turn and adjust in multiple directions, has channels to hide the cables inside of it, and has a sturdy clamp that connects to my desk. It was originally made to work with microphones; however, it works GREAT with my streamcam! The cord is safely stored away inside the built-in channel and I no longer have the camera and cable on desk getting bumped while I live stream. The connector screw is 1/4″ (and has a couple of additional mic adaptors) and my camera fit perfectly. It was definitely worth the cost for the excellent quality of this equipment.

Best boom arm on the market

I had a cheap mic arm from amazon, I had a blue yeti compass, I had a rode psa1 but this elgato wave mic arm….. man it’s wayyy better than the rest of them in my opinion. Great range of motion, easy to hide your xlr or usb cable, comes with a height extension if you need some more height. If you’re reading this review and debating on getting it, trust me… just get it. You wont regret it.

    Best arm for the Wave

Bought this for my kiddo and his Elgato Wave 3 after multiple cheaper ones fell apart. Finally bit the bullet, paid the extra money, and got the best out there.

    excellent quality

i tried many and elgato is simply the best quality you can get for the money, dont waste time go for the best at a fair price.not 100% sure? well there is a reason some itema are out of stock, and is not lack of supply, is high demand

You Don’t Need To Spend $1000. This Is Perfect.

I am blown away by Elgato. This arm is the same quality and feel as arms used in professional broadcast facilities but at just a small fraction of the cost. The arm is sturdy, steady, and long. The multiple adapters mean that it will (or should) fit any microphone mount that exists, and the ability to run a cable through the arm is invaluable. This is a high quality piece of professional equipment. Don’t think about it. Just buy it.

Great Boom Arm, bought to replace an NZXT one.

I bought this to replace an NZXT boom arm, the retention mechanism of which broke after only 6 months. This arm is great, it is very study thanks to the option to tighten the base where the arm slots in. And has much more freedom of movement compared to other arms i’ve tried. The best feature is being able to adjust it on the fly without needing to adjust any retention mechanisms. You just move the arm and it adjusts the balancing to keep it in place itself. We’ll see how it holds up but so far it’s far better than compass type arms.

    Will Widlof

  15. Lucidious Witt

    Sturdy and Solid

It comes with adapters for non-elgato mics and the cable channel is decently sized for mist cables. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I gotta say I love it. It’s quiet and solid in construction. Has the typical range of motion but also comes with an extension arm to mount the lower arms point of rotation up. And even a counter balance weight for those of us that have lighter weight mics. Could be cheaper but other than that it’s perfect

    Lucidious Witt

    Good mic arm

Sturdy, quiet and well built stand. Good solution to cable tidying and easier to keep dust free than standard mic arm. Would recommend

  17. Andy Morris

    Great quality for the price

Ordered this to replace one that came with a mic package. This one is infinitely better. It swivels smoothly, the arm has enough tension to hold it perfectly in place, but also have easy range of motion. It’s quiet when moving it around, and the cable management is excellent.

  18. Sanjin

Very good product. Value for the money right here

I used to have a cheap 30 euroish arm that was constantly moving around, really unstable, the screws to tighten were somewhat loose and then one of them also broke. That’s how I got to the Point that I want a good arm and got this one. I am really happy. It handles well, is really sturdy… but most importantly, it is also very tall allowing me to put my mic above my monitor. Really good product

This is the only Mic arm you’ll need.

TLDR. Owed 4 mic arms in total, 3 were PSA R0DE – this ones is mikes better in quality an features compared to R0DE with the same price point.Tangent below.I’ve gone through a few mic arms now. Using an AT2035, I first had a £20 one, unbranded, it was loud and clanky but it did the job, until the point which connected to the table mount ended bending and cracking.Replaced it with the R0DE PSA – 3 of them. Rode had lots of issues, first was grinding and grinded the paint off where the metal peices met, returned, that one also did the same thing after 2 days of use. Sent it back, bought one off Scan UK, lasted a few months before doing the same thing as the others, and eventually would not stay down. Stuck with my mic up above me and it stayed that way for a year. Then, this mic arm appeared on my youtube feed, instant purchase, and it by far the best mic arm I have ever owned. And with it I treated myself to a new microphone. Now reliability is to be seen, but having a wire compartment, the uniqute ball and swivel mechanic where the mic sits, the raiser, the counterweight for lighter microphones should you need it, this all makes for one unique mic arm, which at this current time I cannot complain about.

Best arm for this segment and better than ones which cost a bit more and have brand names attached

was not considering noname brands so just wanted something that works not something that is just cheap. Looked at rode, gator and elgato. have elgato electronics already and was good, have a rode mic wanted to stay in the brand but seems reviews favoured the elgato.Glad I got it, range is good and actually has an extension that lets it raise above my big workstation monitor (34″) which i didnt expect. nice touch. Also included are some thread adaptors which was great for me as it was needed to fit my rode usbmicvery happy.. hopefully wont sag out over time but will report back if yes

    Forget about frameworks, get this

After my insane amount of research trying to get an actual good mic stand with the addition of it looking good, it comes between the Elgato Wave Mic Arm or RODE PSA1. They’re both good, but I personally like this one better. I had the Frameworks 3000 before (GFWBCBM3000) and it was practically the worst decision of my life.. Not only was it hard to move, but the cable inside of it wasn’t replaceable and it broke a couple days later. This one not only feels comfortable, but it moves just fine, feels natural, looks good, easy to adjust, just get it seriously. I have my AT2035 on it and it works just fine.

  24. WGE Revamped

I’d give it 4.5 rather than 5 stars

I love Elgato products, as far as this one goes, the high rise extended mic arm…it is good.I love the riser, really helps solve a problem and I love the height/extended reach. My only complaint is there is no provision to increase the resistance so heavy mics just have a default position rather than where I want it placed, so control is taken away from me, at this price point I’d expect to be able to adjust this type of setting. It is not a deal breaker just something they should have included.Other than that, it’s a great mic stand.

    Elgato = HIGH QUALITY

Well Elgato did it again! Another awesome product to add to my collection of Elgato products.Top quality boom arm, range of motion is great and the cable management cover to hid your wires is so well implemented. The materials used is second to none. Very high quality. I would highly recommend for any content creator/youtuber.I also purchased the Low profile boom arm by elgato for certain applications. Elgato makes high quality products, and I use them every day for streaming. From their capture cards to the stream deck, the wave panels for reverb and now their boom arms. Elgato = High Quality

Excellent microphone boom arm, even with heavy microphones!

Very impressive boom arm at a shockingly-decent price! Using it with my Rode PodMic, which is a heavy microphone at over 2 pounds. The arm holds this microphone without any issue at all, even at full extension. If you’re in the market for a boom arm between $100 and $200, this is a fantastic unit. What I like:- Very sturdy and very well built- Very easy to setup and install- Can hold heavy microphones (2lb+ Rode PodMic)- Positioning mechanism is amazing (I move it back and forth dozens of times per day)- Ball mount with 3 sizing options is very impressive and strong- Cable management channel is a great addition- Sustainable packagingWhat I don’t like:- Screwing mechanism is unnessecarily long, making it difficult if you have a shelf built under your desk (could easily 1″ shorter”)

    We’ll worth the money!

Excellent build quality. Very easy to move into any position. And it stays in position. Very happy with this. When you compare the price to lots of other similar items on Amazon, it appears pricey! But that’s only because it is like comparing a biro to a Mont Blanc pen. WELL WORTH THE MONEY

Perfect for amatuers or even professionals

The media could not be loaded.

This is the best i have seen. I have seen the other boom arms which arereally good and expensive. This is very much as good as them or i will say even better with more functionality like the ratchet style vlamp, cable management, additional weight for the lighter equipment etc and etc. I compared the psa1 , 1plus, elgato wave arm LOW PROFILE and thishigh rise. Psa 1 and the 1 plus was expensive almost £40 in amazon. So looking at the features and the pictures i bought the elgato low profile and this high rise. I loved the low profile as well but for me being an amatuer hobbiest and i dont have a proper work station, the LP was not good for my table. And this HIGHrise was the best suited. So here we r i have the high rise. I have used it, dropped it, left the arm stretched all night and this one doesnt buzz until i make it to. This all metal vonsttuction is a sturdy, elegant is a very high quality boom arm. If this is what in mind, then the road ends up here. ELGATO WAVE ARM. If i need another one ihen i will buy this again without looking at any options available in the market.

    Great Mic Arm

The quality of the mic arm is great and provides a lot of versatility especially at its price point compared to other mic arms. It allows for cable management, a height extension, ball head and even a weight in case if your microphone is too light. Setup is very simple and straight forward and I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a mic arm or who might want to use this as a stand for their phhone/camera.

    Should have bought this first.

When I bought my first mic arm, I wasn’t sure what I wanted, or if I wanted to spend this much on a mic arm, when there were so many cheaper, good-looking alternatives on Amazon, with great reviews. THAT was a mistake. I have bought two, “cheaper” alternatives. Mistakes were made. I use my boom arm frequently and have to constantly adjust them. Those alternatives do not grip the desk well and often fall off, taking gouges out of my carbon fiber desk wrap, and costly equipment attached hits the ground, each time, for further cringe. THIS arm is freaking amazing. Not only has it NOT fallen off my desk (has not even budged), but it remains solid, feels the same a month later than it did the day it was delivered…and I use it a TON. It looks clean, has a plethora of options, peripherals attach easy and it FEELS so solid and well-made. It’s literally like comparing a well-built, brand new luxury car, with a 1990’s entry-level Kia…night and day. You will NOT regret this boom-arm…Amazeballs.

Better than the Blue Yeti Compass

Bought this after going through 3 broken blue yeti stands. The elbow mechanism feels far sturdier on the elgato arm. With enough space in the cable management to fit 2-3 wires I easily got my headphone and microphone wire through the arm. Loving the elgato so far – no complaints

Makes my Rode PSA-1 seem cheap.

I absolutely love this boom arm; if I had the option to buy this from the get-go instead of my Rode PSA-1, it would have been this 100x over. These two boom-arms are the same price, but the Elgato Wave Arm is the clear winner.I have to say that Elgato nailed their design philosophy; everything you need without going overboard— and all at a great price. Why it took so long for a manufacturer to put an articulating ball mount at the end is beyond me, it’s ingenious! It allows you to orient your microphone in whichever direction you like! The slide-on counterweight is awesome as well, no need to worry if you microphone is heavy enough to support the counter-balance function, if not, just pop the weight on. Elgato even went out of their way to include a cable-management divot in the arm, just the cherry on top.The only complaint I can see is the arms are a little thick and may obstruct your view of your monitor a bit depending on your setup/orientation.Buy this arm you (probably) won’t regret it.

  39. Loonity

Great quality boom for a reasonable price.

I poured over different options available in Amazon and I am glad I chose this instead of competing products. Most of what is on Amazon seems like cheap quality, I wanted to choose one that would hold up to time without absolutely breaking the bank. I loved the entirely eco-friendly packaging, more companies need to be doing it and Elgato (Corsair) seems to be doing the right thing. Everything is paper right down to the tiny package for the adapters. I would highly recommend this boom to anyone who is skeptical of the quality of the cheaper ones. This is a sturdy and well-designed arm that I will probably be using for the foreseeable future!
